Do you use Linked tables in Access 97? If so, this tool could come
in handy. We use it during some installations to automatically link
Access 97 databases together at client sites. Though a visual application,
it is most handy in command line mode. Run DAOLinker /? to
get a listing of all the command line options. Requires that Microsoft's
DAO 3.5 (and license) already be installed.
Do you support applications that use Access 97? Inevitably, those
databases need compacting. Periodically, you can manually (or have
your application) run DAOCompactor to free up space and make your app run
a little faster. Saves you from having to install full-blown Access
97 on every machine if all you want to do is compact the database.
Though a visual application, it is most handy in command-line mode.
